THE MIKE SCHNEIDER BAND
PERFORMANCES
The big news for this coming weekend is that I
will be joined by Nashville's Jerry Krahn on banjo and
guitar at both of my public events! If you're in the
Milwaukee area, catch Jerry and me at the Estabrook Park
Beer Garden on Friday from 5-8 PM. If you're a little
farther west, head on out Saturday evening as we’re joined
by Zack Dietz on drums to play for Jefferson’s annual May
Ball event from 6:30-10:30 PM. Get all the details below, or

page. Jerry grew up in Wisconsin, and helped
develop the sounds of the Verne Meisner and Don Gralak bands
throughout the 1970s, 80s, and early 90s before moving to
Nashville. During his time there, he's made his mark with
groups like the Time Jumpers featuring Vince Gill. Jerry is
a great guy, and I hope you'll take advantage of these two
opportunities to see and hear in person one of the finest
musicians ever to come up through the polka field!
PINT SIZE POLKAS PERFORMANCES
With gas prices at record highs, this is going to be an
interesting summer to be on the road, to say the least! But,
I am very much looking forward to stops at some of my
favorite libraries – plus a few new ones – in Kansas,
Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado in June; and then
in Colorado, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota in
July and August. As always, you can get all the details on

MILWAUKEE BREWERS
If you’ve gone to a Brewers game at American Family Field in
the past 13 months and thought you heard accordion music,
it’s not just your imagination! My work with the Milwaukee
Brewers continues as I create additional polka-themed
musical prompts for their home games. The list is currently
over 60 tracks and growing! Don Hunjadi and I also recently
recorded a new version of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame &
Beer Barrel Polka” for the Brewers to use during all at-home
seventh inning stretches. Plus, this September, we’ll be
on-site for their pre-game Oktoberfest activities on
September 12! Hope to see you there!
IPA SONG OF THE YEAR AWARD
"Thank You Music Lovers" from the Steve Meisner Legacy
Band's Legacy album recently won the Song of the Year award
from the IPA. I had the opportunity to compose the music for
this song, and to be part of a collaboration with Steve's
brother Daniel, who wrote the lyrics. Being a huge Meisner
fan, it was an honor to be part of this project!
