UPCOMING PERFORMANCES
With Spring approaching, I'm happy to say I'm
looking forward to one of my busiest summers to date coming
up! I'll be visiting one new state in Oregon, which will
also mark my first visit to the West Coast. I'll be heading
out there for several library shows in July, prior to
heading back to Montana for my second straight year
performing for the Lewis & Clark Library System, based in
Helena. During that same four-week trip in July and August
I'll also be returning to numerous libraries in WI, MN, WY,
CO and NM, as well as visiting many new ones I've not
previously performed at. It's going to be another exciting
season of music and travel! I’ll be posting details and a
full schedule by mid-March to the Events page at
www.pintsizepolkas.com.
Stay tuned!
So what's happening this spring? You can catch my band and
me frequently at the Old German Beer Hall in Downtown
Milwaukee on Fridays and/or Saturdays, as well as my solo
show at the Milwaukee Moose Lodge one Thursday afternoon
most months. Be sure to check the
Schedule page for all the
details.
If you're up early this Tuesday morning, join me for Paczki
Day at National Bakery in Milwaukee starting at 6 AM. I need
to get up by 4:15 AM, but the bakers are there all hours the
previous day and throughout the night before getting the
famous Fat Tuesday food ready for your enjoyment! I'll be
playing there until 11 AM, so stop by, say hi, and grab some
Packzis!
REMEMBERING JOHN PINTER
I'd also like to take a moment to remember a friend, and
also someone who really helped springboard my career back in
1997. I was 18 years old at the time, and local polka
promoter extraordinaire John Pinter took it upon himself to
take my story as a Wisconsin Polka Hall of Fame nominee for
the Horizon Award to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. His
humble efforts paid off with a surprise font page story. He
was very kind with his time and especially his enthusiasm to
help me out at that time, and would continue to be helpful
and supportive throughout my career. I learned that John
recently passed away. Please keep him in your thoughts and
prayers. There were few people more passionate about polka
music, its promotion, and especially its preservation and
subsequent future than John.
As always, be sure to join

That's all for this month. Thanks again and talk to you
soon!
