Long time no talk, and greetings
this evening from Roanoke, VA, where I just finished up a
very hot round of golf. Thankfully, I shot well under the
temperature of 97!
I have been having a fantastic
summer so far and hope you have, as well! I've visited 10
states, and by the end of next month will have done more
than 110 shows. The new van I got back in March with 6,500
miles now has well over 20,000, and I still have many hours
on the road ahead of me. One interesting tidbit - I'm a big
fan of audio books, and each summer I listen to around 200
hours worth. And that's just from listening while I'm
driving! Whew! For information on the Pint Size Polkas
performances I have coming up yet in VA, NC, IN, WI and IL,
please visit the Events page at
have a few new dates to add, but unfortunately have been
having difficulty accessing my site for updates. Thankfully,
most of my summer dates are there. Hope to see you at a
library near you soon!
I get back to work with the Mike
Schneider Band next month, as well, with performances at
Veterans Park in West Allis (to make up for our
rain-cancelled June 30 date, which would have been my Mom's
73rd birthday), St. Germain Pig in the Pines, Hustisford
Music in the Park, the Humboldt Park Beer Garden, the Essen
Haus (our only weekend there in 2016), and the Our Lady of
Lourdes Parish Festival.
I usually get home from my
summer on the road to enjoy at least a little down time, but
this August I have jobs in some form or fashion the first 13
straight days! And then we roll right into September and the
start of Oktoberfest season when things likely won't slow
down until mid to late October. I'm very thankful for all
the work and hope to see you at at least one of the upcoming
Progress also continues on the
new Mike Schneider Band CD. Hopefully I'll have time in
between all the performances to finish up my second
accordion parts and final editing and mixing. Still lots to
do, but it's come a long way since I got back at it again
this past Spring. If you missed it, I have a sample of one
of the tunes on my Facebook page at
Take a listen and enjoy!
